ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Albany man is accused of stabbing a 34-year-old man on Central Avenue. James Holmes, 61, was arrested on Wednesday evening and charged with second-degree attempted murder as well as third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Albany Police Officers responded to Central Avenue near Henry Johnson Boulevard on August 14 around 11:50 p.m. for reports of a stabbing and said they found the victim with significant arm stab wounds. The victim was treated on scene before being taken to Albany Medical Center.

Police said they determined that Holmes stabbed the 34-year-old in front of 45 Central Avenue. He is going to be arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court on Thursday morning.
