The moment a car burst into flames in an East Lothian industrial estate has been captured on video.

The Volkswagen Golf was engulfed in orange flames while parked on the side of the road at Musselburgh's Newhailes Industrial Estate at around 10am on Wednesday, August 27.

A plume of black smoke can be seen billowing from the vehicle as a witness filmed from afar. A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliance promptly arrives on scene and begins to extinguish the flames.

Shocked onlookers can be seen standing watching as nearby vehicles are moved from the area. Firefighters then hose down the vehicle before leaving the scene.

The crew left around an hour after receiving the call and confirmed no injuries were reported.
