CENTER, Neb. (KTIV) - Officials in Knox County, Nebraska, say there was a breach of privacy at the courthouse, which led to the firing of two people, and the suspension of another.

On Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2025, the Knox County Board of Supervisors announced County Attorney Hanna Knox Jensen was suspended for one year without pay. Additionally, the county’s chief deputy, Dan Henery, and a 911 coordinator, Heather Kienow, were discharged.

According to a press release from the board of supervisors, these decisions were made after the discovery of a previously unknown microphone in their meeting room at the county courthouse.
