(FOX40.COM) — An arrest was made in the homicide investigation of a shooting that left one person dead in early August, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Police said a man was found dead just before 2 a.m. on Aug. 10 in the area of 12th Street and Blues Alley.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators took over the investigation, resulting in the arrest of 47-year-old Edward Nelson of Sacramento.
SPD said Nelson was arrested on Tuesday on charges related to homicide.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
