ST. JOSEPH, Mo - Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will begin a multi-county resurfacing project on Tuesday.

The project will cover roads in Clinton, Buchanan, and Clay counties. The contractor's tentative schedule has work beginning Tuesday on Clinton County Route H. Then on September 9th resurfacing work will be conducted on Route J in both Clinton and Clay counties. Beginning September 16 crews will shift to Clinton County Route O. The final portion of the project will be on Buchanan County Route CC beginning September 22nd.

During the resurfacing work, each route may be closed in up to two-mile sections. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route. Work will be performed on weekdays during daylight hours. The project is expected to be completed by mid-Oct
