There was no meeting of the minds last night at a meeting between the developer planning to blast away woods and a ridge to put in a 204-unit apartment complex on American Legion Highway on the Roslindale/Hyde Park line and nearby residents who remain opposed to it.

Willow Bridge, a Texas developer with a Land Court decision in its favor, says it will blast away what is now Crane Ledge for its nine-building "garden style community" next to the Stop & Shop strip mall, only now without any of the affordable units it had initially promised and without retention of the lookout ledge and creation of a public walkway to it that it once said it would at least consider.
