CONCORD, N.H. (WCAX) - The final report on an officer-involved shooting in New Hampshire concludes that police were justified in their use of deadly force.

Police opened fire on Kevin Steinfeldt, 58, at the Federal House Inn in Plymouth in November 2024 after a 10-hour standoff when he came to the front door holding a gun.

Some of the bullets from officers hit Steinfeldt, but ultimately, authorities found his cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella released the final report on Thursday.
