The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) has announced an upcoming change for families participating in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.

Beginning September 1, 2025, the MSDH WIC Program will transition its standard infant formula provider from Enfamil to Similac.

Officials note that Enfamil benefits issued in August will remain valid until their expiration dates in September, to ensure families do not lose access to formula during the transition period.

The MSDH WIC Program talked about how they try to provide nutritious foods to meet the needs of women, infants, and children across the state. This change in formula provider is part of ongoing efforts to meet nutritional standards and ensure access to quality infant care products.
