TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — Two people are facing multiple charges, including child abuse, after a probation and parole visit in Alexander County, according to a release from the Alexander County Sheriff's Office.

According to the North Carolina Probation and Parole Division, officers conducted a check at a home on Jay Stafford Drive on Wednesday with help from the Alexander County Sheriff's Office.

During the visit, authorities arrested Teri Michelle Pitts and Yancey O'Brian Tanner.

Pitts is charged with child abuse, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also charged with a parole violation, ACSO said.
