KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are warning parents and drivers of a dangerous social media challenge that could endanger children's lives.

The Belton Police Department said it has received reports of local kids participating in a dangerous activity that may be linked to a social media challenge.

"Kids have been seen recording videos of each other jumping in front of moving vehicles," the police department said on Facebook.

"We want to stress that this behavior is extremely unsafe. It puts both the kids and unsuspecting drivers at serious risk of injury or worse."
