PUXICO, Mo. (WSIL) -- One person is dead after single-vehicle crash in southeast Missouri on Thursday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) stated the crash happened on August 28, at 2:05 a.m., along Missouri Highway 51, roughly three miles south of Puxico.
State police said a 44-year-old was driving a 2011 Ford Edge going north on Highway 51, when the vehicle traveled off the road and crashed into an embankment.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities reported she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol stated this was the 38th death related to a traffic incident in the Troop E area for 2025.
