BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Resuming her testimony from Wednesday, a woman used a laser pointer to indicate on a photo displayed in court where she was walking on Ming Avenue when a man grabbed her arm and dragged her behind an electrical box and bushes on the night of May 2, 2022, then attempted to sexually assault her.

Her testimony on the second day of the trial of Sergio Venegas, a convicted rapist charged with multiple felonies, is being live blogged by 17 News.

If convicted, Venegas, 62, will be sentenced to prison for the rest of his life.

The woman managed to get away after her attacker stole several items. She got help and called 911.
