All the newness and hope and anticipation that comes with a season opener is now in the rear-view mirror for Robeson County’s high school football teams. This week, it’s time to settle in.

In Week 2, the teams that opened with a victory can solidify that position and earn a 2-0 start, or can come back to earth and sit at .500. Likewise, the teams that lost last week can rebound and pull their record to an even 1-1, or can take a setback that becomes a hole they’ll have to get out of, both record-wise and morale-wise.

Three of the four matchups involving Robeson County teams feature teams that are either both 1-0 or both 0-1, guaranteeing that the “0” will remain in one column for one of those programs.
