OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - One person is in jail after a pursuit involving the Nebraska State Patrol in Omaha early Thursday.

28-year-old Jose Jaimes, of Omaha, was arrested for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, driving under the influence, refusing a chemical test, obstructing a peace officer, false reporting, and driving under suspension, along with other traffic offenses.

According to a NSP release, a trooper attempted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Silverado traveling at 100 mph on Interstate 80 near 42nd Street. This was at about 1:15 a.m. Thursday.

The driver did not stop, the release states, and a pursuit began. The pursuit moved to Interstate 480 northbound where the driver continued at 100 mph.

The pickup then went onto Highway 75 and turned onto Ames Avenue. A short
