Further information has been provided by the City of St. Albert regarding the dog attack that took place in the city earlier this month.
During the investigation led by the Municipal Enforcement Services, the city learned that the main incident took place directly behind the Alderwood neighbourhood, along the Transportation Utility Corridor of the Anthony Henday.
The area that the incident occurred in is part of the City of Edmonton’s municipal area.
As a result of this discovery, the investigation is being transferred to the City of Edmonton Animal Care and Control Peace Officer unit.
Under St. Albert’s Animal Bylaw, Municipal Enforcement Services has deemed the dog that committed the attack “dangerous” and place care and ownership conditions on the animal, effective as of August 20.
