MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A man forged a document to sell a woman's home to himself for a single dollar, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

"We have difficult feelings about this," said Montserrat Gonzalez, who told FOX13 in Spanish that the suspect forged her signature.
Gonzalez, who owns the home on North Holmes Street, alerted police to the fraud in February. MPD said investigators found a transaction filed with the Shelby County Register's office claiming that the woman sold the property to a man named Scott Griffin for one dollar.
The property was last assessed for $84,300.
"We worked very hard to get this home," Gonzalez said in Spanish. "I can't believe another person just came out of nowhere and said, 'I like this.
