SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - The former owner of a Sarasota dog grooming business has been sentenced in connection with an animal abuse case that began in March 2024.

Court records show Diana Jeneane Stevens, 41, of North Fort Myers, pleaded no contest to five misdemeanor animal abuse charges on Aug. 27, 2025.

Stevens, the former owner of Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming off Tamiami Trail, was initially arrested by Sarasota Police in March 2024 after detectives investigating possible financial crimes uncovered allegations of animal abuse.
