MARION, Ill. (WSIL) -- Banterra Bank marked its 50th anniversary by donating $50,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Illinois. This donation is part of the bank's ongoing efforts to support local communities.

Jeff May, president of Banterra, emphasized the importance of the contribution.

"The Boys & Girls Club of Southern Illinois offers thousands of young people in our communities the opportunity for a better future," May said. “We have been fortunate to help local communities thrive for 50 years and we make every effort to support the youth in the areas that we serve. We hope our donation will be both useful and energizing as this organization makes a resurgence in Carbondale and Marion.”
