PETTIS COUNTY, Mo - A Marshall woman is behind bars in Pettis County after leading authorities on a dangerous chase that resulted in an accident.

According to a press release from the Pettis County Sheriff's Office, Saline County authorities warned them of a wrong way driver going southbound on northbound 65. A Pettis County Deputy was able to avoid a collision with the vehicle driven by 32-year-old Lauren Ngaue.

Deputies were able to deploy stop sticks at the Route HH intersection, disabling three of her four tires. The pursuit continued on Highway 765 when Ngaue collided head-on with a second vehicle driven by a 37-year-old Marshall woman, who sustained minor injuries.
