Cage-free eggs that were distributed to two states have been recalled due to possible contamination with salmonella .
To date, 92 people have gotten sick in relation to the recall, but there have been no reports of related deaths, according to a company announcement on the Food and Drug Administration website.
The company, Country Eggs, of Lucerne Valley, California, initiated the egg recall after the FDA and other authorities notified the company of a possible salmonella contamination issue. And the company has stopped production of the affected products while the FDA conducts an investigation .
This recall appears to be separate from earlier egg recall due to salmonella contamination, which affected nearly 2 million eggs in June.
