CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — With the West Virginia Black Heritage Festival right around the corner, the 2025 Royal Court has been announced, honoring leaders and young achievers whose lives reflect service, scholarship and community pride.

This year’s King and Queen will be Dorian A. James and Geneva Harris, while the Princess and Prince titles have been awarded to Nyssa Kennedi Grace Baker and Demarcus Bandy.

The festival will be held Sept. 5–7 in downtown Clarksburg and will feature music, cultural programming, vendors and family-friendly activities celebrating the contributions of African Americans in West Virginia. A ceremony will also be held to recognize the honorees.
