Chef Henry Johnson says that while filming Hell's Kitchen , which premieres Thursday, Sept. 25, he was literally on camera 24/7, but creating dishes in 30 minutes with very few ingredients while learning from a Michelin-starred chef was a dream.

This will be Season 24 of Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen, and the theme is new: "Battle of the States" will have one chef from all 50 states.

Johnson, who is originally from Tonganoxie, Kansas, is representing Texas. The recruiters discovered him via his social media page.

In Dallas, Johnson heads to the kitchen at the new Design District steakhouse EVELYN , a Hollywood-inspired restaurant and lounge from Reach Hospitality, which also operates The Mexican, Black Tap and Pie Tap.
