CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Two new cheap flights will soon take off from Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

Frontier Airlines announced on Tuesday, Aug. 26, that it will add 20 new flights nationwide, including two at Charlotte airport.

Both routes will launch in November, with fares starting at $49.

What to know

The first new flight begins service on Friday, Nov. 21, flying to Fort Lauderdale three times a week.

Service for the second new flight begins on Sunday, Nov. 23, flying to Detroit twice a week.

“We see a clear path to being the number one low-fare carrier in the top 20 U.S. metros,” said Barry Biffle, Frontier Airlines’ CEO. “As industry capacity adjusts, we want to ensure consumers in those markets continue to have affordable flight options.”
