A Marshall woman was arrested Wednesday night after officials say she was driving the wrong way on U.S. 65, causing a head-on collision.
According to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office, Lauren Ngaue, 32, could face charges including second-degree assault, resisting arrest, DWI causing serious injury, and several traffic violations.
Around 11:17 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to a report of a person driving southbound in the northbound lanes of U.S. 65, according to a Facebook post by the Sheriff's Office. As deputies responded, a GMC Yukon was found driving toward a deputy at 90 mph, according to the Sheriff's Office. The deputy was able to evade the vehicle.
