Eagles look to their past for a punt returner as they fill out the practice squad

PHILADELPHIA — The Eagles’ search for a punt returner appears to have landed on the guy who used to return punts for them.

When practice opened Thursday at the team’s South Philadelphia facility, Britain Covey was on the field stretching with his old (and some new) teammates. A few moments later, the news of Covey’s return was confirmed when the media relations department handed out the roster and he was listed as part of the practice squad.
