A 35-year-old St. Catharines man is being sought following the theft of six firearms from a business in the north end of the city.

The three long guns and three handguns taken have not been recovered, but Niagara Regional Police said in a media release the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

On Sunday, NRP were called to a Geneva Street business near Ted Street. A man broke into the building and stole several items, including the six firearms stored in a secured gun cabinet, said the release.

Police said the cabinet was found nearby and the guns are unaccounted for.

Police identified a suspect, Paul Braoun, and said he was wanted for break and enter, possession of stolen property and several firearms-related charges.
