From farm to table, Indian Creek students had a ear-resistible lunch thanks to a partnership bringing locally grown corn to student’s lunch trays.

This isn’t the only farm-to-table program Indian Creek is known for. Creek Cattle Company has been bringing farm-fresh beef to the cafeteria, but now, with a new partnership, Zupancic Farms has brought corn on the cob.

Indian Creek agriculture students were up early Tuesday morning shucking corn and preparing it for Wednesday’s lunch. Senior Elliana Cole said she is excited to have fresh corn on the cob.

“It’s giving back to the community and supports our school systems and the neighboring people around us that work as farmers,” she said. “It’s a good way to bond with the community and make connections.”
