Winnipeg police have arrested two men after finding what they describe as a bicycle chop-shop inside a riverbank encampment near Fort Douglas Park.
Investigators with the Central Community Support Unit began looking into reports of stolen property earlier this summer. On August 27, just before 1:30 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at a temporary structure in the 1–99 block of Gomez Street.

Inside, police seized 50 bicycle frames, 77 tires, 53 rims, five complete tires with rims, along with a gas generator, lawn mower, pressure washer, and a wheelchair. Officers said the structure had been built and used as a workshop.
