QUINCY (WGEM) - Wednesday afternoon was Commitment to Care, an event hosted by Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

It was held at the Crossing, where keynote speakers discussed what it takes to be a nursing student and how important it is to be committed to their role.

“It’s a great day for students to really think about being a major in the healthcare world, and what that might look like for each of them,” said Brenda Beshears, president and CEO of Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

“Really instilling the vibrancy and the power and the energy of what it means to be committed to something, to make a choice every single day,” said Ryan Penneau, a keynote speaker. “To show up and say I’m here to do my best, bring my gifts, and serve in this moment.
