MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Moorhead Police Department and the family of 9-year-old Adam Amin is teaming up to host a day-long traffic safety event on the first day of school.

It’s in memory of Adam Amin who was fatally hit while riding his bike in July.

Adam was a student at S.G. Reinertsen Elementary School.

You can expect to see a strong presence of officers and police volunteers during morning drop-off and afternoon pickup times.

Also, there will be extra enforcement throughout the day and evening to encourage safe driving behavior.
