City to host would-be major leaguers for 5 days in January
Surprise-area Texas Rangers fans who have always wanted to act like a big leaguer now have the chance to do it.
All they have to do is be a big baseball fan and at least 30 years old, clear five days open in January and have about $5,000 burning a hole in their pockets.
For the first time ever in Surprise, the Rangers are hosting a fantasy camp at Surprise Stadium to give campers a chance to live out their dreams of playing with the big leaguers.
The camp, which runs from Jan. 7 through 11 at the Surprise Stadium complex, is meant to give people the chance they never had before.
