EASLEY, S.C. (WSPA) - There is a new space for seniors in Easley to connect with others in their community. It’s called “Young at Heart Dining and Activity Center,” located at 250 Burns Road.

“This opportunity became available through the YMCA," said Kim Valentin, Pickens County Meals on Wheels Executive Director. "They approached us and said, ‘hey, we're opening a child development center and what do you think about taking over a portion of the building to open up a senior center?”

From there, Pickens County Meals on Wheels got to work planning a space for seniors to connect with others.

“I think this is going to be a fabulous location, because there's a lot of seniors that work out at the YMCA that they will just walk right over, and they will visit our center,” said Valentin.
