1 person hospitalized with major injuries after being hit by train

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A person is suffering major injuries after being struck by a train Wednesday night, according to Bakersfield police.

The incident was reported at 10:48 p.m., at 30 and Espee streets. The gender and age of the victim are unknown as of now, police said.

The victim was transported to Kern Medical Center.
