A 60-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman who serves on the Summit County Fair board is accused of stealing over $24,000 between 2017 and 2024 from the fair's 4-H club and horse camp.
An unsealed indictment filed in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas shows Angela Hawsman is charged with one count of grand theft, a fourth-degree felony, for allegedly stealing $24,766.85 from the Summit County Junior 4-H Club/Horse Camp.
Hawsman is listed as a 2025 area at-large member of the fair board. Her husband, Mike Hawsman, is the 2025 board vice president.
Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Jennifer Towell arraigned Hawsman on Aug. 18. Hawsman was released after posting her $10,000 signature bond, court records show.
She is next scheduled for a pretrial at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 29.
