MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Denso Manufacturing, TVA, Silicon Ranch, and the City of Maryville 'flipped the switch' marking the beginning of operation on a new solar facility on location at the Denso Tennessee Manufacturing site. 6 News got details on the solar farm and what it means for Maryville residents.
The groundbreaking on the solar farm was in November 2022, and construction finished this summer. The 4,000 state-of-the-art panels will not only power Denso’s operations but also serve the Maryville community by producing 3,400 megawatt-hours of energy each year.
