MONTOUR FALLS, N.Y. (WETM)--- The Schuyler County Advocacy Center now has a grant that will allow it to stay open. The center assists people from all around the Southern Tier with a range of issues.
"Increasing the scope of what a victim is, including someone's child who is sexually assaulted, we consider the parents also victims of that crime because any parent whose child is sexually assaulted has got to feel terrible about letting it happen or having it happen on their watch," said Joseph Fazzary, Schuyler County District Attorney.
Last year, the center had more than 600 people come in for services.
