Tempe will hold its only city council meeting for the month of August on Thursday where among other votes is a potential approval of funding for the Arizona State University shuttle bus, Valley Metro Light Rail and other tasks like rezoning and liquor licenses.

The council will hear public comments on all issues, even ones not on the agenda as speakers will have 3 minutes to speak before the council and other city officials.

Transportation will take up much of the budget as the council will hear about an $18 million contract for Valley Metro Light Rail.
