MONROE COUNTY, Ga. — Monroe County Emergency Services is responding to a house fire in Bolingbroke, entering the second hour mark, according to Public Information Office Christina Bramlett.

Bramlett says crews have been on scene since 3:40 p.m. and they are still working to contain the fire.

She also says that the fight has been complicated due to the first floor potentially collapsing.

Bramlett also says crews had difficult time entering the home due to a fallen powerline, which was knocked over by a tree branch. They also struggled due to "an overwhelming collection of belongings," Bramlett said.

They say they're having difficultly getting the fire extinguished, noting that crews had to exit the home due to part of the roof collapsing.

Bramlett says that they're still on scene.
