NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Hopefully you enjoyed a break from the humidity over the past few days. Moisture and humidity are quickly moving back in to the region and it will set the stage for a relatively unsettled pattern through the Labor Day weekend.

A large trough sits over the eastern U.S. while a ridge holds to the west, keeping our area in a northwest flow pattern. This setup provides a pathway for storm development this afternoon and evening, especially across southwest and coastal Mississippi.
