MUSKEGON – The beginning of the 2025 season has been a challenge for the Ludington varsity volleyball team. On Wednesday, the Orioles looked to rebound at the Reeths-Puffer quad.
Ludington opened with a 2-0 (25-13, 25-19) win over Ravenna. However, it lost the next two matches and finished 1-2 on the day.
The Orioles fell to Fruitport 2-0 (18-25, 21-25) and to Reeths-Puffer 2-1 (23-25, 25-21, 18-25). They are now 3-5-2 on the season.
Ludington ended the day with 22 aces as a team. Senior Carly Moffitt and senior Saviera Moser each had seven aces.
Senior Jaelyn Laird led the Orioles with 21 kills. She also tallied three digs and four blocks.
