LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — More than half a million dollars in private donations is needed to meet estimated costs to complete the job of converting signs at Harry Reid International Airport.

Donations appear to have stopped coming in for the $7.68 million project.

An update on the project's budget is on the Clark County Commission's agenda next week.

It carried the name McCarran International Airport from 1948 to 2021, when the county approved the change. Plans to fund the signage changeover specified the project would be paid for with private donations.

Donations for the three phases of the project now total $7,094,274, which is $585,972 short of the estimated cost. A budget summary dated Aug. 19 is below:
