PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Papago Park Military Reservation in Phoenix has been evacuated after a possible vehicle bomb on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs , the security staff checked out a vehicle bomb threat at the facility’s entrance near 52nd Street and McDowell Road just before 4 p.m.

Staff called the police, who said they found a possible fire-starting weapon. The bomb squad was then called to investigate.

Police said the area was evacuated. It’s unclear how the device got there or what it looks like.

DEMA said there’s been no explosions and no injuries. Traffic in and out of the military facility has been rerouted and officials are asking people to avoid the area.
