The remains of a Belle man who went missing in 2023 were found in Maries County early Thursday morning.

According to a Facebook post from the Maries County Sheriff's Office, multiple agencies and K9s assisted with a search in a heavily wooded area near Maries County Road 309. The search ended with the discovery of what is believed to be the body of Devin Gehlert.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's missing persons database, Gehlert had last been seen on June 29, 2023. He was 36 years old at the time, according to the database.
