CUMBERLAND – The town’s sidewalks deemed to be in “poor” condition, as determined through an analysis by Pare Corp., should all be able to be repaired using an initial investment of $750,000.

Public Works Director Romeo Mendes told the Town Council on Aug. 20 that he was able to analyze the cost of repairing the sidewalks Pare deemed poor, based on unit prices provided by three companies responding to be included on an on-call list to perform sidewalk repairs and restoration work throughout town.

D’Ambra Construction was deemed to be the lowest bidder based on those costs, said Mendes, and the approximate cost to repair those particular sidewalks based on that pricing is $730,598, within the $750,000 budgeted.
