LINCOLN – Christmas comes early this year, as the town of has officially released its 2025 ornament.
This year’s ornament honors the history of the Saylesville Friends Meetinghouse, located at 374 Great Road.
“This ornament was very highly requested,” said Grace Gervais, assistant director of the Parks and Recreation Department. “A lot of people said they were surprised the meetinghouse hasn’t already been an ornament, so the ornament committee decided it was finally time to make that happen.”
Built in 1703, the Saylesville Friends Meetinghouse has served as a place for Rhode Island Quakers to congregate and practice their faith for more than 320 years.
