BRAINERD — It’s the game of the week.

More eyes than normal will focus on Adamson Field when Brainerd opens the season against Buffalo Friday, Aug. 29. The Star Tribune and NSPN.tv made it the game of the week for Week One.

The Warriors and Bison faced each other last in 2022 with the Warriors collecting a 27-7 win.

Brainerd finished 5-5 last season and Buffalo won five games in Class 6A last year. This year, the Bison are in Section 6-5A.

The Warriors feature a new quarterback in sophomore Bo Schwartz. He will be the first sophomore to start at quarterback since Nathaniel Staehling in 2019.
