COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri's plans for an in-game quarterback competition between Beau Pribula and Sam Horn went off the rails quickly during Thursday's season opener.
Pribula, as expected, started the game with the thinking that he'd play the entire first half and Horn would get the second. But Horn checked into the game during the first half for something of a wildcat play, tucking the ball for a 6-yard carry.
Then came the problem: Horn got up and went back down on the field, receiving attention from trainers who then helped him to the sideline. He appeared to be struggling with his right leg.
After a few minutes in the sideline injury tent, trainers helped Horn to the locker room. He was later spotted standing in a stadium tunnel on crutches with his leg in a full brace and ruled out
