PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Police have arrested a man accused of driving under the influence and crashing his pickup truck straight into a Pawtucket home Thursday night.

Officers were called to Newport Avenue around 8:15 p.m. after receiving reports that a vehicle had crashed into a home.

No one inside the home was injured in the crash, according to police.

The driver, identified by police as a 32-year-old man, was taken into custody and will be charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving.

Police said the driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.

It's unclear if the home has been deemed uninhabitable, however, 12 News spotted a gaping hole in the front of the home.
