CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — The University of Illinois is offering a special promotion for bike riders in September.
The University's Facilities and Services team is holding bike to work day on September 10 to celebrate CU bike month.
Anyone who rides their bike to campus and stops at a welcome station between 7 and 10 a.m. will receive a free t-shirt.
The welcome stations will have drinks and snacks available. There will be 16 locations across Champaign County that can be found on their bike to work map .
Riders need to preregister and bring their bicycle to get this year's shirt. In the case of inclement weather, the University said the event will be rescheduled to September 11.
