During a recent episode of “Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw,” Charles Wright, famously known as The Godfather, recounted a physical altercation he had with the late Ludvig Borga (Tony Halme) during a WWE tour in Germany. Joined by Ron Simmons and John Bradshaw Layfield, Wright confirmed that the incident was sparked by a racist comment from Borga.

The story was brought up by Ron Simmons. JBL set the scene, recalling the event took place in a bar in Bremen, a northern town in Germany. At the time, Wright was working under a different gimmick. “I don’t know Godfather, he’s over there as maybe Papa Shango or I was—” JBL began, before Wright clarified, “Las Vegas… might have been Papa Shango.”
